To be perfectly candid, I hate when autotune is used by professionals. You might has well just make this sound and then retire. Autotune should be reserved for the realm of people who can't sing. The singer for Fun. can sing. He sings very well and is tune and hits every note. Yet for some God forsaken reason nearly every song on their album "Some Nights" includes some retarded bit where he doesn't sing and just moans to autotune. Of course that is an insult to those who "suffer" from mental handicaps (I use quote marks since some don't think its suffering). The album is pretty good. I enjoy listening to it...except when THIS HAPPENS! Okay, that was a joke, but seriously, look up the title song Some Nights on youtube and enjoy until you get to about 3:11, then all of a sudden it becomes this.
Everything else about the album is good. It sounds together, the band works well together and it is all ruined by autotune. I mean, I can't hate this enough. I'm gonna keep this short since I find that the album isn't worth buying. Support them only if they can drop their Autotune addiction. I mean look at this guy, no autotune needed. I mean, they're too good for autotune, if they had been more like these "wonderful people" then autotune would feel more...needed.
The dice initially rolled a 9, but then the dreaded youth that is autotune bumped the table and the dice fell to a 3. The autotune just gets too much in the way for this album to be what it could have been. I seriously hope that they kick the guy in the teeth who thought autotune was a good idea for them, even if its the singer.
I would like a review of "Nat en Espanol". Thank you.
