Nicholas Hoult attacks the Big Screen like a Beast!...get it? He was in X-men First Class as Beast.

Okay, so Nicholas Hoult, he's come a long way to get to where he is from where he was (even though I think he has evil-looking eye brows).
He came back two years ago in X-men First Class. I thought that movie was awesome. I don't think I need to write a review when all I feel like I need to do is this (although I had some big beef with Havok, but that's mostly because the Summers Brothers are some of my favorite X-Men) But let's focus on the new good-ish stuff shall we?

So lets talk about Warm Bodies first. This is really Romeo and Juliet with Zombies. Where Romeo is the Zombie (kind of feels like this). The story is predictable, but who cares. It's a feel good movie with a pretty decent message behind it. No it's not the whole why can't we together, since, well, it's pretty well established that he's dead and she's not. It's more of a Zombieland type deal, you know, life is what you make it. You're only a zombie if you choose to be. Which is interesting since the world we live in is getting more and more digital and physical travel is becoming less and less necessary to connect with people. Of course "connecting" with people has it's own big argument. It's a fun film, the writing is great and are delivered fantastically. It's also a pretty decent date movie, although I would suggest that you do so when it comes out on Redbox to watch it were you can cuddle better. The dice give it a 8/10. Buy it when it's released.

Okay, now Jack the Giant Slayer. Um, yeah. It's a great spin on a classic fairy tale. I really felt like the spin though was Star Wars, but with little to no force. Ewan McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but with armor this time. Nick, is Luke Skywalker and the princess, played by the lovely Eleanor Tomlinson (who kind of looks like this chick) is Leia (without the incest). The CG is great and Stanley Tucci is as always fantastic. But the film on the whole, is underwhelming. It's kind of hard to put my finger on exactly what doesn't make it great, since it's hard to prove a negative.(warning of the language in that last one). I felt like, it was trying to appease children, with all the farts and burps (which have a place mind you), but at the same time play towards teens or adults. Either way, there was too much of the head ripping. The dice give the movie a 6/10. Rent it, no need to buy.
